Beautiful work. I'm a graphic artist with a hobby of landscape oil painting. I paint in the Hamptons Long Island and the landscape is simiiar to your Mass landscape. I have a hard time matching the muted orange colors which you seem to hit right on. Could you share with me the pigment you are using?
Hi Greg, thanks for your comment, I mix all my colors from a basic limited color palette, warm & cool of red, yellow & blue. I like Williamsburg, Windsor Newton paints and stick to the cadmiums for the warm colors. I will use mars yellow and a burnt sienna too at times, I mix intuitively so I don't have a formula...hope this is helpful..K
Very helpful. Sometimes I lock into an earth color and it becomes a crutch. Maybe a cad orange or mono orange mixed with a complement will be better. Thanks! Sisely's palatte was interesting. Spectrum colors and yellow ochre and brown ocher. But never using both ochres in the same painting.

Cool. Very Barbizon with post-Impressionism leanings! Have you been looking at Pissarro?
